Thus, with new goals in mind, Cana-Vac launched a new line of central vacuum cleaners for heavy duty applications, namely the Signature line, with the Cana-Vac Signature LS-550 central vacuum cleaner as the prodigy.

Thus, with new goals in mind, Cana-Vac launched a new line of central vacuum cleaners for heavy-duty applications, namely the Signature line, with the Cana-Vac Signature LS-550 central vacuum cleaner as the prodigy.
The heart of the new Signature line of central vacuum cleaners lies in the Tangential motors made by Ametek which power all the five models of the series. Although not necessarily as cost-effective as the Flow-Thru motors found with the Ethos series, these motors manage to provide the ideal response to the needs of owners of mid-sized and large spaces alike. The one mounted on the Cana-Vac Signature LS-550 central vacuum cleaner is a 5.7-inch motor designed to reach a maximum water lift of 137 inches while generating as many as 465 air watts. However, despite the significant amount of power it generates, the motor is designed to last for impressive amounts of time even if used on a daily basis, using fresh air to cool down while running. The same cooling intake muffler also plays an important role in its quiet operation, which gives it a great advantage over a significant part of its competition.
Cana-Vac brand is known to deem the motor and the filtration system equally relevant to the performance achieved by a vacuum cleaner. Therefore, the Cana-Vac central vacuum cleaners accommodate both very powerful motors and highly efficient filtration systems. When it comes to the Signature LS-550 model, the filtration is carried out using a HEPA membrane filter system, HEPA filters already having consolidated their position as top air quality providers, removing 99.97% of all impurities as small as 0.3 microns from the indoor air in all conditions.
